A strong cover letter connects your experience to the specific role. Here's a framework that works for pharma professionals at every level.

Open with Impact

"With 7 years of experience in chronic therapy sales and a track record of exceeding targets by 20%+, I'm excited about the Area Manager opportunity at [Company]." — This immediately establishes relevance.

Show, Don't Tell

Instead of "I'm a hard worker," write "I grew my territory from ₹8L to ₹14L monthly sales in 18 months." Specific achievements are far more persuasive than adjectives.

Address Their Pain Points

Read the JD carefully. If they need someone for a new therapy launch, mention your launch experience. Mirror their language and show you understand their challenge.

Keep It to One Page

Three paragraphs maximum: opening (why this role), body (why you), and closing (next steps). Hiring managers don't read long cover letters.
