About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Engineer � Civil to join our client's engineering team. In this role, you will play a clear part in supporting the execution and management of various civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the defined quality standards. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and project managers, gaining field experience in the real estate sector of Kolkata.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of detailed engineering designs and drawings using CAD software.
Conduct site surveys and inspections to monitor project progress and adherence to specifications.
Support estimation and costing processes by providing accurate data and analysis for project proposals.
Execute and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality assurance protocols.
Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to facilitate effective project execution.
Perform quality control checks and ensure that materials and workmanship meet specified standards.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports and progress updates.
Participate in project meetings, providing input on technical matters and addressing any arising issues.
Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines, tracking milestones and deliverables.
Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and techniques to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
2-3 years of relevant work experience in civil engineering, preferably in the real estate sector.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and building codes.
Proficiency in drafting and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Knowledge of local construction regulations and environmental standards.
Familiarity with quality assurance and control procedures in construction.
Certifications related to civil engineering (e.g., PMP, LEED) would be advantageous.
